🔒 100% On-Device Document Privacy Guarantee: DOCSCAN processes all scanned documents, image filters, camera feeds, crop selections, and PDF exports entirely on your physical device. We do NOT upload, collect, or store your personal documents on any cloud server.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how DOCSCAN ("the Application"), developed by MuhammadShakil Patel (TechSavvy Solution), collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our mobile application on Android devices.

2. Document & Image Data Privacy

We respect your document confidentiality:

On-Device Local Storage: All scanned pages, photos, and exported PDF or ZIP files are stored exclusively on your device's internal application storage.
No Cloud Uploads: DOCSCAN has no cloud backup or remote document sync. Your scanned files never leave your device.

3. Application Permissions

DOCSCAN requests the following device permissions to function properly:

Camera Access (android.permission.CAMERA): Used exclusively for real-time document boundary detection, auto-capture, and photo scanning. Camera feeds are processed locally in memory.
Notification Permission (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to deliver push notifications, feature updates, and app tips via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can toggle this permission off at any time in system settings.
Vibration Control (android.permission.VIBRATE): Used to provide haptic feedback when a document is auto-captured.

4. Third-Party Services & Technologies

DOCSCAN integrates trusted industry SDKs to provide analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and mandatory app updates:

Google AdMob (Advertising): We display banner and interstitial ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect non-personally identifiable data, such as your Advertising ID, IP address, and device type, for ad frequency capping and anti-fraud monitoring. Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Telemetry & Diagnostics): We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to monitor application performance, track feature usage (e.g. document capture count, filter selections, export formats), and collect anonymous crash reports. No document content or personal data is collected by Firebase.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM Push Notifications): Used to send push notifications regarding app updates, announcements, and productivity tips.
Google Play In-App Updates: Uses Google Play Services to check for mandatory security updates and ensure you are running the latest app version.

5. Security

Because all document data resides on your physical phone, security is maintained via your Android OS security mechanisms (screen lock, device encryption, and biometric authentication).

6. Children's Privacy

DOCSCAN does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is suitable for general audiences.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be published on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
